Hey folks, I got this by email and thought I should share it with you.
We are pleased to announce our participation in the President's Volunteer Service Award program as a Certifying Organization.
This award is a Presidential honor that recognizes the valuable contributions of volunteers nationwide who are answering President George W. Bush's call to serve others through their current volunteer activities or lifetime service.
We invite you to apply for this award as a U.S. Fund for UNICEF Volunteer, if you meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the table below.
Kids, age 14 and younger
| Adults, age 26 and up
| ||||
Young adults, age 15-25
| Families and groups (two or more people)*
*Each member contributing at least 25 hours |
For those volunteers who haven't accumulated enough hours of service to be eligible for the award, we encourage you to visit our online Volunteer Center at www.unicefusa.org/volunteer for ideas about additional volunteer projects you can do for UNICEF. You can participate in these activities by yourself, with family members, neighbors or colleagues from work.
To apply for the President’s Volunteer Service Award, please send an e-mail to volunteer@unicefusa.org, including:
- A brief summary of your volunteer activities for UNICEF. If you've also volunteered for another organization, include that information as well.
- Your age eligibility category according to the table above.
- The total number of hours you have volunteered in the last 12 months.
Please submit your e-mail to volunteer@unicefusa.org by March 16, 2007.

Thank you for your support and all you do to help UNICEF save kids' lives!
