A friend referred me to this new site called mginger.
Well, my initial reaction was - aw! another idea to collect the mobile database... and the fact that I really felt pestered by the "unwanted" marketing calls while working / @ home.... but then thought lets give it a try..... its sms after all which is intended for "deferred - read" facility - and once can easily silent-off the sms tone :)
The site's business model is based on mobile advertising. The subscriber can specify fixed number of ads - 5 or 7 or 10 which s/he can wants to receive. Besides, one can specify the interests too... You'd receive a verification code.... and u r signed on.
Once you sign up, you are paid for each ad that is delivered. There is a referral option too - yo! you get paid for each person who you referred.
