The social networking sites are a good way of keeping in touch with friends (and foes)... aw! well in terms of fake profiles...
There are fakesters /fraudsters who can simply monitor your scraps, blogs, etc and pose as your long lost friends with reasons known better to them!
Sounds idiotic? yeah, but in reality when this happens (as it happened with a close friend), it might cause much more damage than one can imagine!
Uh! of course! a person "praising you" and "posing as your friend's friend" is under less of suspicion... and is all the more difficult to trace out, handle, and erase out.
The only solution is to keep your eyes n ears open...wider than ever :D
